French-Filipino themed date at Roy’s Bistro!

Finally! It’s July 7 of the year. The day that I and Mylove has been waiting for this year. We expected this to be something special. We even thought of having dinner at Price Plaza where everything in the city is over looking while we ate sumptuous concoctions from the hotel’s restaurant. But then we end up having dinner at Roy’s Bistro instead. Well, let’s just say, we lack preparations that time and there were unexpected expenses along the way. Nonetheless, it was sweet and romantic as we expect it to be. ^_^ Maybe God was saving Price Plaza dinner for some other time (maybe some time more important. :p)

7th day of July at Roy's Bistro with Mylove! ^_^

Roy’s Bistro is one of the newest food hubs in the city. Located at the city center (Divisoria), it is always full! Their menus are very affordable but undoubtedly delicious! On the restaurant’s wall, “Bistro” was defined as a small French restaurant. And so there and then, I figured that the theme of that week has been French! Mylove received good news from his Tita all the way from France on a Sunday, I downloaded a French teacher App on a Monday, searched for a French tutor on the following days and on the 7th, we ate in a French restaurant! How is that sound? So “French” indeed.
What I love the most from the menus that we ordered was their sizzling Bulalo and their fruit dessert with a nutritious cream on top. We were full! And we love to go back again sometime for another dinner. After we’ve had our dinner, we drove home and had our sweet talk. This was the day that everything became official. Though it was already official a couple of months ago, we still like to think that July 7 was our anniversary. This day also was the start that we agreed to celebrate monthsaries on the following months. Weird isn’t it? Well, I believe it’s cute. We are trying to be unique in our own little crazy ways. ^_^ Nevertheless, I love how we deal with things and I undoubtedly love how he is as my boy friend. I have been very happy since he came and that’s what I am sure of.

Film Making Experience : "DALIA"

And so yeah.. we now know how it is to participate in a film making. And it was totally fun! It's as if we were just playing around with our roles and didn't think how we would look like in the big screen. But all in all, I believe it did turned out pretty amazing!

During the shooting.

We were invited by our good friend, Jennica, who happens to be a film enthusiast, to play roles in a film entry for 2014 PICPA (Philippine Institue of Certified Public Accountants) film fest for a cause. She wrote the story herself. It was a horror movie inspired by some famous horror films. This is supposed to be an entry for the CPA's from the government sectors but we were given the opportunity to be part of it even though we were not CPA's and we were not even working in the Government. It was a great opportunity. We gained new CPA friends and we had the chance to see ourselved in the big screen during the premiere night at Liceo University's Rodelsa Hall. We tasted the feeling of being known like the stars in the hollywood! And that means we became famous for a while in the entire community of PICPA. Some of my classmates in MBA, who happened to be CPA's, even recognize me and calls me with my screen name. That was totally overwhelming!

During the premiere night. :)

It was indeed a wonderful experience! We took the scenes of the film during Sundays of June and had the premiere on the first Saturday of July. We even bagged some awards! Isn't that amazing? That was a blast indeed. The movie was then featured to different schools for film viewing in exchange for a couple of bucks. The proceeds were then used for a feeding program.

I never expected that once in my life I will experience this. And what's so amusing about it is that Mylove was so supportive all throughout and was game with just about anything like this. We have shared the experience and we had this beautiful memory that we can look back and laugh about in the future. It makes me feel incredibly happy. ^_^

Here's a copy of the entire film. :)

A Secret Project for MyLove's Birthday!

Mylove's a very friendly person. He has lots of friends. When we would hang out before as best friends, we constantly bumped into some people he knew. I am amazed how wonderful he is but jealous sometimes thinking that he tend to be everybody's best friend. Anyway, I couldn't do anything about his awesomeness so I just don't mind. Knowing this, I thought of an idea to give him a personalize present on his birthday. I thought of this last year when I was in Manila. I want to record or collect video greetings from his friends and family and compile those in a video. Aside from the fact that I was financially broke to buy him random expensive gifts, I would prefer realizing this video because I find it somewhat sentimental and personal.  :p

And so I started planning on the video. And guess what got me every time? I am amaze how most of his friends and relative are so game about it too! He is truly amazing. :) Aside from that, during the duration of the project, I tend to get excited to tell everything to him from the time I talked to his family and relatives and got their videos down to taking his friends' videos in secret. It's kind'a pretty hard to keep things secret from him, you know. I sometimes cannot hide my giggles making him very suspicious of me. haha! Maybe because of the fact that he is my best friend - I always get excited to tell him just about everything no matter how stupid it may sound. There were times that I was pessimistic that I cannot pull the video off but with God's grace I did. I ran out of concept but was lucky to be given the divine intervention on how to do it. ^_^

On the night before his birthday, I gave him a small gift box tied with a red ribbon with the USB and a note inside. I then called him at exactly 12 midnight and ask him to open it. He opened it and watched the video. And there is only one thing I was wishing at that very moment, to see his epic reaction! haha! (I should have played it on the dinner party were his family and all of his friends are there! tsk3! but I got so excited, you know! hehe). So yeah, that's pretty much it. ^_^

Here's the video that I edited. It was actually my first time to edit videos so pardon me with the presentation. This is not just my gift to him but this is pretty much a gift from his family and friends too. :) I love you Mylove! <3
