Brother’s home! It is once again Chinese New year, a whole month
celebration in Singapore. And so, my brother came home once again for
a vacation. This time, he didn’t informed us when is his flight
date and other details of his vacation. We were just surprised when
he is already at our front porch. I was in Manila the last time he
came home. It’s been two years since he decided to take his
endeavor in Singapore and so far he has been very successful.
While he was on vacation, he muttered that we must go for a family
road trip. We decided to go to Dahilayan for a sweet escape.
Together with his friends, from Singapore and from here, our family
went for a day of Adventure. We rented 10 sitters van and make our
way there early in the morning. We brought food for our snacks and
lunch. Dahilayan Adventure is in Bukidnon, an hour travel from the
vicinity of Cagayan de Oro City. There are public vans at coffee
works Divisoria that visitors can ride. But you need to be there
early so that you can get a seat. Private rented vehicle is still the
best if you will travel in groups since you can just ask the driver
to make a stopover anytime you want to maybe take some pictures
especially that Delmonte’s pineapple plantation is on the way, or
for personal and other necessities. Dahilayan Adventure is a nice
place to spend with your family and friends for recreation activities
or for some adventurous and fun-filled hangout.
Striking a pose behind these pine trees. ^_^ |
It was 10am when we arrive at the place and it was so freakin’
cold! The foggy effect of the area makes it so beautiful. When you
are up there, you can smell the pine trees through the air breeze. It
was awesome! And before we can do anything else, we took pictures!
Lots of it! Hahaha! After then, we decided to start trying the rides.
As a starter, we go for the Zip line package! It is a 3-times zip
lining with different height, position and routes! It was
indeeeeedddd awesome! I can’t describe the feeling. As if you are
flying! But this is not for the faint-hearted though. This is for the
adventurous type and for those who are brave enough to face their
fear of heights. I am happy
that I did face mine. I am afraid with heights but I really didn’t
regret trying it. And the thing is, I want to try it out again, with
Mylove the next time ! I also
want to try out their Drop Zone the next time I’ll come visit (we
lack the luxury of time to try out every rides since we only have a
day. ). When we all finished
zip lining it was already lunch time. We settle ourselves in the
garden kiosks and shared our baon with one another.
Ready for some Luge race with these guys! |
From our kiosk’s view, we can see groups of people trying out
“luge” (mini-car racing). By the look at it, it seems that it
will be fun trying it out too. So we decided to go for it after
lunch! It was already drizzling a bit when we finished eating. We
took some pictures with the animal figures in the garden. While on
our way to the “luge” area, we also tried the swings on the way.
We took an open cab going to the racing track. After some reminders
and key points from the facilitator, we then started running our mini
car. We did a race on our way down and it was awesome! We took
another round before we are off.
We took the open cab again going back and we were taken to the
mini-golf area. Little did we know, we can go for a mini-golf time
for free. Without any hesitations, we all get our golf balls and
equipments. Though we don’t know how to play golf, we pretended
that we do by striking a nice blow to the ball trying to get it unto
the hole. It was fun anyway. We took lots of pictures in between.
After almost an hour or two, we then decided to head back to our
kiosk and started packing. We took lots and lots of pictures on our
way. We decided to go home at around past 3PM.
Mama striking a pose with her pet. :p |
It was a blast, I should say. Though my parents refuse to take the
rides, they said they still enjoyed the trip because of the beautiful
scenery. Nothing beats the beauty of nature, I believe. That feeling
of tranquility and peace are indeed a sweet escape from the busy
city!
