Mylove was invited to be his office mate baby's God father and the venue was in Iligan City! So to take advantage of the travel, since we travelled almost 2 hours from our city, we go for a side trip. :)
This was our first travel together. We actually planned on going to Iligan for a one day trip for just the two of us. We wanted to explore and experience travelling together. But since this invitation came, we took advantage of it. We went to the city's famous Maria Cristina Falls were a renewable energy plant is operating. The facility became a tourist attraction and people can visit it any time. It was the primary source of energy supply in Mindanao before but is now said to be limited due to climate change.

The plant was quite big so we had to rode some sort of an open cab to get to their Botanical garden and to the area where the falls is. They have animals like snake, crocodile, ostrich, monkey and ducks in the garden. It is also picnic-ready so families can hang out and eat. Being there is somewhat relaxing seeing the beauty of nature. It's somewhat a short escape from the busy City and from the stressful week of work.

There is a cafe near the main building where we ate our baon while watching the scenic view of the falls and the flowing river. We even went up at the building to take a closer look of the falls and its beauty.
This was a wonderful experience indeed. We had a dinner afterwards at a local restaurant and catch the last trip back to the city. :) I'm looking forward for more travel together with Mylove in the next days, months and years! ^_^
